All libraries in Alaska are considered General Members of the Alaska Library Network. General membership allows libraries to use the products and services available on the ALN web page and any news and information posted there. General membership does not include voting rights.
Voting Members are granted all benefits of General membership but can participate in additional programs such as any discount group purchasing programs. In addition, Voting Members have the ability to vote and to be nominated to the board of directors. Being a Voting Member or participating as a Board Director means having a say in the direction of the Alaska Library Network.
Individual library membership dues are determined from annual operating budgets. School district membership dues are determined from the total library budgets of the schools in the district (not to exceed $500).

Charter Members are those libraries who paid at or above their membership dues level by December 31, 2008 to provide initial support for the Alaska Library Network. Charter membership has no benefits but comes with the satisfaction of providing support when it was most needed as well as the sincere gratitude of the Board of Directors.
The individual library membership application form is available here. The school district membership application form is available here. Please print, fill out and send in with payment to the Alaska Library Network at the address on the form.
