PlayAway Lending Collections

Want to find out if PlayAway digital audio books would work in your library but don’t have the money to give them a try? ALN is here to help!

ALN owns five collections of PlayAway titles for Voting members to borrow. Each collection consists of thirteen to fifteen audio books and can be borrowed for six weeks. Three collections have a mix of adult, youth and juvenile fiction with a small number of nonfiction titles. Two collections have school age appropriate titles, one at the middle school level and one at the high school level. Each PlayAway will come with a new battery installed and each collection will include a small number of earbuds and lanyards. Members are welcome to borrow any of the collections.

PlayAway Purchase Program

ALN has established a discount purchase program with the FindAway company, distributors of PlayAway devices. Voting members receive a 15% total discount and free shipping direct to their libraries. Invoices for orders will be issued by ALN. Members can order at any time and receive this discount.

Please note: Follett has sole distribution rights for PlayAway to schools and school libraries. ALN has been unable to negotiate a comparable group discount for Alaskan school libraries at this time. Please contact ALN for further details.
